Wedding

After several months of preparations from a distance, Chip and I were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah, on February 14, 2009.  (I can't believe that it has been almost 3 years...)  I have a lot of extended family and friends in the area and Chip does as well, so we wanted to make it easier for more people to celebrate with us.  We truly appreciated Dan and Jane for coming out from New York to join us, and are still so grateful that they took the opportunity to introduce us when otherwise we might have never met!

Instead of a wedding reception, we held a dinner for our family and friends in the Lion House, which was the home of Brigham Young, and which has been preserved for these sorts of functions.  The most wonderful part of the evening was taking the opportunity to tell our guests about our courtship and how the Lord had confirmed to us the rightness of our decision to marry and how certain we were (and still are) that our loved ones who have gone before us had a hand in all of it.  We then opened the microphone to anyone who wanted to say what was in their heart, and it became almost like a testimony meeting!  We felt so much strength, love, and unity together that night and treasure those wonderful memories.
